Robert F. Smith is visually impaired, yet each year he walks through the desert to raise money for charities in his community. Robert is the definition of no excuses when it comes to kindness. As he tells us in this story, “even a blind man can see that one act of kindness makes the world a better place and that world begins with you.”
Kindness starts at home. It starts with the self. Shana shares how, although her childhood was not filled with kindness, she chose to take the high road of and put kindness at the root of all she does. It’s been 8 months since our last story, so with Shana’s story, we are making a “Kindness Comeback.”
The first two storytellers shared similar stories. Sometimes we don’t realize how special something is to us until we learn what it might be like to be without it. In the next two stories, Fat and Jared both share stories of the moment they cried tears of joy because they were faced with experiences that made them appreciate their family.
